The main reason Rhode Island Reds are so popular is their excellent egg production. A single hen can lay between 260-280 eggs in a year. This breed is also popular for the size of their eggs, as they produce large brown eggs.

The Booted Bantam or Dutch Booted Bantam is a European breed. It is characterised by abundant feathering on the feet and shanks, which gives it a "booted" appearance, They lay between 120/180 eggs per year and are fantastic broody hens.
The Silkie is a breed of chicken named for its atypically fluffy plumage, which is said to feel like silk and satin. The breed has several other unusual qualities, such as black skin and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot, whereas most chickens only have four. Female Golden Pheasants lay around 8 – 12 eggs in April. Incubation time is around 22 – 23 days. The chicks fledge after 12 – 14 days. Males acquire their bright colours during their second year of life but are sexually mature in their first year. The life span of a Golden Pheasant is 5 – 6 years.

The male Muscovy Duck is the largest duck in North America, but the female is only half his size. After laying 8–15 eggs, she does all of the nest defense and raises the ducklings (which have sharp claws and hooked bills to climb out of the nest)

Indian runner ducks are native to Southeast Asia but have long been domesticated and now exist in many parts of the world. With an upright carriage and bottle-shaped body, the Indian runner duck is one of the world's most identifiable duck breeds.
A hen can lay up to 180 eggs in one year. Incubation: 28 days.
